If you would like a quick introduction to some of our main core team members you can read about all of them below, put names to faces and learn a little about each of them. We pride ourselves in having some personality as a company and enjoy building lasting relationships and leaving a good impression everywhere we go.
We call him the Chief! He works tirelessly to make sure everything runs smoothly and lives and breathes Bigtopmania. Pete will most likely be the person you book with and will handle your enquiry from start to completion. He's also a very good highly skilled circus performer! Ring master and clown extraordinaire!
Lucas Jet, has been working for Bigtopmania all of his young life. As a circus artist, you'll find him on stage performing or running children's areas and he knows all the measurements of the tents off by heart :) His lovely wife Amy joins in the circus fun too!
The glue that holds it all together, Anne can often be found on site or driving all manner of our vehicles around the country. She lacks the height for hanging the walls but her eye for detail, cleaning the kit and looking after us all, makes her an invaluable member of the team. The best Festival-Mama to so many!
Daughter Leo is a fantastic hula hoop artist and trapeze performer specialising in aerial silks. She also is a key member of the trapeze teaching team at all of our festivals. The best bit is she's supplied us with a very helpful son in law Josh and our grandson Max and to top it all, she's a qualified midwife too!
Yohanes or "Jony" Juggler is one of the most charming chaps you could meet. As well as being a world class juggler and walking ladder circus artist from Ethiopia, he's a very hard worker and part of the core big top crew and circus show.
Franco first joined our team in 2015 when he rented a room from Lucas in Bristol. Since his first day when Lucas dragged him along to make up numbers, he's become one of our most experienced marquee team members. He got a first class honours from Bristol Institute of Music and when he's not working with us, he's the front man of an international alternative rap duo that have played shows in Italy, Latvia, Amsterdam & more. Plus he loves helping with the circus workshops and creating mayhem!
We've known Chris for around 20 years from his years working with the craft team in our children's areas at Guilfest. (Now that was an ace festival!) He brings a keen eye for detail and makes the best cheese on toast. In his spare time he likes to dig on victorian rubbish dumps hunting for buried treasure! Bottles! All of this is very true.
