Are you looking for interesting marquees for your event in Cornwall or Devon?
We live there and offer a huge range of interesting tents and event equipment for rent especially for marquee hire Cornwall!
Bigtopmania is based on the Devon side of the River Tamar border (border!?) pretty much in the centre of Devon and Cornwall near Launceston.
We live in Devon but have a Cornwall postcode but are only 45 mins from Exeter and Truro, so are centrally placed to supply marquees and event equipment to events and weddings in both Cornwall and Devon, as well as far away.
Literally in fields further away!
Marquee Hire Cornwall.
Are we a Cornish marquee hire company or a Devon marquee hire company. Does it matter? We rent marquee and event equipment throughout the area.
We are certainly a south-west marquee hire company with our marquee hire Cornwall install team based mainly from Plymouth to Bristol.
We go almost anywhere and take our marquee hire services to rustic country weddings, garden parties, birthday parties, coastal celebrations, boutique arts festivals, music festivals, town and country events, outdoor events, theatrical events, agricultural shows and a host of other event styles, let alone tv and film production supplies.
For Cornwall wedding marquees, we are totally on tend with rustic theme weddings, festival weddings, circus weddings, alternative weddings, unusual weddings, boutique weddings, bijou weddings, DIY weddings, theme weddings, rock and roll weddings colourful weddings, red and white weddings; any more?
We mostly have colourful marquees and try not being old school with the flouncy white marquee linings, up lighters and chandeliers type of package though there is undoubtably a place for them still.
Looking for circus tents? Vintage marquees? Sailcloth marquees? Candy striped marquees? Canvas marquees? Pagoda marquees? Free standing marquees ? Mini marquees? Baby big tops?

If we don’t have it there are some excellent local event suppliers we can recommend to complement our services.

We were first booked for the Lets Rock events in the summer of 2014, last year there was Cookham, Bristol, Leeds and Southampton. This year they added Exeter, London. So before festival season has really begun properly we have done 6 of these little one day 80’s festivals. I was alive for only 3 months of the 80’s and at i’ve heard that much Rick Astley this year that I might even have to Spotify him once this session is over.
At Lets Rock we have been working in conjunction with the lovely Kindred Cafe family. Who as well as providing tasty treats and drinks, bring along a beautiful selection of traditional side stall carnival games as well as table tennis and badminton, face painting, candy floss and even the occasional graffiti demo! It means that even though at Lets Rock we are only bringing limited equipment with a small team, when teamed up with Kindred we have managed to create beautiful and jam packed Festival Children’s Areas to entertain the families from start till finish!
We bring along our Candy Big Top, a 9 metre round tent which at Exeter was over flowing with a ram packed crowd for Lucas’s show and even more for the children’s talent show. There’s been lots of roley poley’s, songs, hula hooping, plate spinning and some completely random sketches from imaginative kids at Bristol.
Big Balls and Bubbles, Bikes and Big Bear, Circus and Chalkboards, Toddler fun and Talent shows. We hope the many of you that have been to Lets Rock have enjoyed the non stop play and energy that we try to put into every event, no matter how hot it has been of late!
Last one is Saturday 11th July in Southampton and then its onto Penn Festival, Splendour Camp Bestival, Rewind, Rewind North, Shambala, Bestival and thats just the ones we’re doing kids areas at!
Giant Footballs; 6 ft / 2m size bouncing kick power!
BUT WHY? What’s so good about them?
Why are we raving about the Giant MegaBall?
Put it this way..
A Giant MegaBall can withstand a lot!
The mega balls are made in Europe of thick inflatable material.
The big red is capable of supporting up to 300 kg!!
The big orange is capable of supporting up to 150 Kgs.
They are all tested in the Gymnic factory and made to EU standards.
You can bounce them, push them, roll them, climb on them, run at them, float them, get run over by them, levitate them, flip on to them, attack them! We have seen it all…. kids and adults try everything!
How many times do you see Massive GIANT Beach Balls?
The Giant inflatable beach balls, 3m diameter! Made in China, are more lightweight ( and can be popped more easily… but luckily repairable! ) as to be expected and very good for waterborne or aerial games like giant volleyball but still very capable of supporting children on top.
Believe me! Children and adults find every way possible to abuse the inflatables and have serious fun while they are doing it!
Learning about the planet!
The Inflatable globes are made in Germany and are super strong and very visual.
Learn where you are!
Here in Devon we are pumping up the world and now have the whole world on our doorstep; the whole world in his hands! On top of the world.. Enough!
They are fabulous add-ons to all our other hands on play activities, excellent in our festival kids play areas, great surprises during our theatre circus shows.
The Gymnic mega balls are massive compared to the usual gym balls but it’s great to have all sizes at the same time!
It doesn’t stop there! The best fun comes from team work.. Hence a great use in non-competitive co-operative games and team building activities.
Many hands make light work!
As with small gym balls found in gyms all over then world, the mega balls lend themselves to therapeutic use not only in the human world but also in the animal world, especially in the horse world!
Check out this YouTube horse meets mega ball video.
What’s the Risk with MegaBalls?
All events being different we / you have to dynamically assess the situation.
Climbing on them does mean you can fall off them!
(In fact the manufacturer doesn’t recommend climbing on them as you can fall of them…but hey! risk assess and do it carefully)
You don’t want any unsuspecting persons to be literally bowled over! (They will be when they see them!)
It’s up to the players, parents, children and supervisors to gauge the correct level of excitement and that depends on the aims and objectives as well as the location and abilities.
Avoid sharp objects!
Help each other!
Don’t always use them fully inflated.
I have to say; The increased fun is reflected in the initial cost of the things!
They really are not cheap toys.. they are EXPENSIVE! So don’t ever dare to burst them!
Can’t we just have some fun for once?
They make the kids go WOW!
They make the adults go WHAT THE?
They are simply jaw dropping huge GIANT MEGABALLS of bounce!
Take some photos!
Make some space, find a field, have a GIANT MEGABALL party!
We have run the kids area there since it began. We have a lovely little corner for our circus tent where we run kids workshops, circus shows and all manner of kids entertainment to keep the lovely festival kids happy. The video below is of the circus cabaret filmed on Saturday night and features 3 of the Bigtopmania family.
We also supplied 7 large tent structures to the event which gave us a great chance to see what a Bigtopmania tent village would look like.
